“Once you come here you will never want to go home”Bermuda Flag

Bermuda is a subtropical archipelago of islands located about 1000 miles off of North Carolina’s coast. It is Britain’s oldest remaining colony, having been settled before the creation of the Kingdom of Great Britain. The island is famous for several things, perhaps the most well-known among them are Bermuda shorts, which were first considered acceptable business attire on the island. Bermuda offers many global clients financial services and, as a result, has one of the highest GDPs per capita in the world.

Not only does it boast a rich historic past, but Bermuda also has been a popular tourist destination for decades due to its year round mild temperatures and beautiful scenery. While it is rarely above 86 degrees in the summer, the archipelago has high humidity resulting in a higher heat index. Winters are also very mild, with the temperature rarely falling below freezing and usually staying in the mid to high 60s.

Since the nearest landmass is North Carolina, the archipelago has its own international airport located on one of the larger islands. Many airports in the continental United States offer direct flights to the island, as do airports in the United Kingdom. Car rentals are unavailable, but distances are short on the archipelago and tourists can rent bicycles or scooters to get around and public transportation is readily available to all visitors.
